Vietjet converts A320neo orders to A321neo's.

Upon the inauguration of Vietjet's A321neo service yesterday, Tuesday 2nd January 2018, VietJet announced that they would be converting their existing order for 42 A320neo's to Airbuses larger, and 'superior' Airbus A321neo.

The new aircraft is fitted with 230 leather - covered seats, the first 5 rows of which are dedicated to customers travelling in Skyboss, the carriers new premium service. The interior of the cabin is fitted with colour changing LED lights to create a welcoming and refreshing atmosphere.

The new aircraft will be operating routes from Vietnam starting in January 2018. Fabrice Brégier, Airbuses Chief Operating Officer and President Commercial Aircraft said "This aircraft will be a real asset in Vietjet’s expansion plans in such a competitive market. We look forward to seeing the A321neo flying in Vietjet colours.” At the inauguration service.

Vietjet chose the Airbus A320 family aircraft to bring them into the future due to the types technical reliability and efficiency, with a 16% reduction in fuel, 75% reduction in noise and a 50% reduction in inemissions. Last year, 2017, Vietjet has an admirable 99.6% techinal reliablility rate, which they are confident that the A321neo will be able to boost.
